Rev. Julie Donohue Thompson
Julie began serving as our Interim Pastor in July 2015. She has served churches in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, South Carolina and Georgia. She was born in Connecticut and lived in northern Virginia and suburban Pittsburgh before heading to Ohio (Miami University) for college. She graduated with honors with a degree in speech communication in 1989. While a student she participated in student government and her sorority, and helped to start a college fellowship group at Oxford Presbyterian Church. After five years of college and youth ministry, Julie pursued her Master of Divinity “little by little” from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and graduated in 1999. She is married to Daniel, nursing home social worker and former middle school science teacher. They both enjoy running and musical pursuits with their three children Sam (18), Claire (16), and Ellie (11). The Thompsons currently reside in Wayne and are glad to be back in Pennsylvania, closer to their extended family members.
Director of Music Ministry
Megan Prescott-Ezickson has been the Music Director at First Presbyterian Church of Springfield since September of 2009. She has played piano nearly all of her life and has a degree in Music Education from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. She directs the chancel, handbell, and children’s choirs at First Presbyterian along with leading music in worship on Sundays. Megan currently resides in Wayne, PA with her two adorable cats, Rilke and Coley.
Kara Collins, a long-time member having grown up at First Presbyterian Church of Springfield, is raising her two boys in our community. She is an asset to the family at FPCS bringing friendliness and efficiency to our church office.
