The Deacons at First Presbyterian Church of Springfield provide a number of ministries to its church members and neighboring community.

What is… Deacons

A group of people with a wide variety of caring ministries including visiting and providing transportation for the residence-bound, delivery flowers and food to the sick.

Food Cupboard

Contributions to help those in need can be dropped off in the container labeled food cupboard in the Narthex of the church.  If there is a need or you know anyone in need, please visit our food cupboard located by Fellowship Hall. The Deacons will publish specific needs monthly in our church newsletter Under the Steeple.

Care Meal Program

Sign-up to prepare meals as needed. If you have any questions or would like to become part of this ministry, please contact the church office. Thank you in advance for your prayerful consideration to serve in this way.

Transportation

The Deacons are available to provide transportation for anyone who needs a ride to worship on Sunday mornings. If you or someone you know needs a ride, please call your Deacon or the church office at 610-543-5110.
